Sandra's Story

I started using crack cocaine in my teens and was a full blown heroin & cocaine addict by my twenties. I had been in & out of detox centers, churches, and living in the streets homeless. I had became very suicidal and gave up hope that I could ever change after spending 11 years running from the call of God on my life. After being exposed to Jesus through Bible studies in prison and in different recovery ministries, I finally realized that Jesus loved and accepted me regardless of how I had been living my life. It was that realization that brought my deliverance from the need to use drugs. I'm now 18 years clean.

Today, I am an ordained minister of the gospel of Jesus Christ. I have attended Harvest Bible University, Los Angeles where I earned my Ministerial Degree & Associates Degree in Ministry. I am a Christian Public Speaker for Women's Conferences, Retreats, & Workshops. I am a member of the American Association of Christian Counselors, and the Alliance of Church-Based Community Developers Inc. I am a certified chemical dependency counselor.
